How much advanced notice do I need to give?

We will always try to be flexible and accommodating, but your best bet is to give no less than 7 days notice and no more than 30 days notice due to fluctuating supply and demand.

Is insurance included in our cost estimates?

Some insurance is included in the basic price quote but you should inquire about how much it is and if you have a high end vehicle please let us know the value and then extra insurance coverage may be provided in your quote. You may be able to get additonal insurance separately as well.

What about shipping very expensive cars and classic cars?

Many Auto Carriers have enclosed trailers as an extra service to protect cars from the outside elements. Keep in mind, enclosed carrier service does incur an extra cost.

Does my car have to be in working condition?

It varies. Some auto carriers are equipped with a winch and can offer to move vehicles that aren’t operable, other carriers are not. Please make sure you communicate with us the conditon of your vehicle when we are quoting you because inoperable vehicles will cost you more to ship.

Will the car carrier deliver my vehicle door to door?

Most will, yes. Certain variables out of the truck driver’s control will hinder arriving to your door, such as low hanging trees on the streets leading to your door or narrow streets or dead ends or areas they cannot turn around. These carriers are typically very large and need a lot of room to get to your door safely. You may save money if you are able to bring it to their terminal or a meeting point sometimes as well. No two vehicle shipments are ever exactly the same, so please ask as many questions as you need and provide as much info about your locations and your specific needs prior to shipping your vehicle with us to make sure no one involved runs into problems with loading or unloading your vehicle(s).

Can I ship more than one car?

Yes. In fact, many car carriers actually have your car(s) on trailers with up to 8 to 10 other vehicles for at least part of the way. Shipping multiple cars at once that will be picked up and delivered to the same exact locations could actually save you money on the cost of shipping per vehicle as well. Please inquire about more info!

Can I ship a motorcycle?

Many car carriers will haul motorcycles but not all. We do not set up shipping of motorcycles over seas at this time either. However, we can definitely set up shipping of your motorcycles across the country.

Will I be charged by size?

Yes – large cars, trucks and SUV’s will cost more money than a standard mid-size or compact car. Some SUV’s are so large that they equal the weight and size of large trucks or two cars! Estimates are given to you based on the size of the vehicle, the route it is going which also considers supply and demand, and the season you are shipping within.

Do I have to be present at the pick up and delivery?

Many auto transport carriers will require that either you or someone else designated by you be present to go through an inspection and sign off the vehicle’s condition. We recommend having someone there at pickup and delivery for your own protection. Signing off on the inspection of your vehicle is very important and the only way to prove if any damages have been made to your vehicle during transport. Insurance companies require your inspection reports to process damage claims. The vehicle owner does not have to be the one signing off but someone you trust should be there. So please keep this in mind!
